  • Video: Worst Shots From The 2020 Masters

Coverage provided by NBC Sports Gold / GOLFTV / Golf Channel / CBC / NBC / PGA Tour Live

Golf fans are more than familiar with the incredible golf played by 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson en route to his first Green Jacket at Augusta, as well as a number of other noteworthy shots from some of the best players in the world.

But we all know golf is not a game of perfect. Here are some of the 'not-so-great' shots from this year's Masters.

  • Video: Jon Rahm Skips Over Water For Ace At Augusta

By now most golf fans have heard about Spaniard Jon Rahm's amazing ace on the 16th hole at Augusta during a practice round for the Masters on Tuesday.

But it is still more than worth watching again...

  • Video: European Tour - Happy Gilmore KP Challenge

Who doesn't like a good 'Happy Gilmore' go-round every once in a while? Most golf fans are pretty familiar with Adam Sandler's character 'Happy Gilmore' from the film of the same name which was filmed largely in and around Vancouver in 1996.

One of the most popular and oft-imitated elements of the film is the run-up swing featured in this European Tour 'Happy Gimore Closest To The Pin Contest' held ahead of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club. European Tour pros were challenged to take on a nearest-the-pin challenge with a difference. Two words… Happy Gilmore.

A recent Performance Camp held at Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in Richmond provided an opportunity to speak with the program's leader, Colin Lavers, along with some of the players participating in the camp.

The following video gives us a good insight as to what the program offers and what its participants see as the benefits of such a program.

  • Video: John Daly's Barefoot Hole-In-One During Navy Seals Charity Pro-Am

John Daly has a reputation as one of golf’s most relatable good-time guys. The two-time major champion rocked a mullet for years, writes and records his own country music and sports multi-colored Loudmouth ensembles while competing on the PGA Champions Tour.

Playing just recently at the Federal Club in Glen Allen, Va., in the Bone Frog Open, a charity pro-am benefiting the families of fallen Navy SEALs, Federal Club golf professional Josh Price just happened to have video rolling for Daly’s shot on the par-3 11th hole, which is 121 yards long from the white tees.

It turned out to be pretty fortuitous timing...

  • Video: European Tour's Driver Off The Deck - Closest To The Pin Contest

In this version of the European Tour's popular video Challenge series, armed with just their drivers, the European Tour challenged four players to a nearest the pin contest - from 300 yards out.

Taking on Wentworth’s famous 18th hole, the aim was simple: first to hit it inside 8ft wins.

In our view, probably the most enjoyable element of the whole event is the fun and pure joy the players experience and share with us.

  • Video: European Tour Challenge - Using Kid's Clubs

This one actually might be one of our favourites put together by the good-humoured folk from the European Tour.

During the 2020 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at Galgorm Castle, Northern Ireland, they challenged Shane Lowry, Padraig Harrington and others to hit a kids' size club in a nearest-the-pin challenge.

While some of the shots are what you would expect from grown men with very fast swing speeds using clubs mean for 5-7 year olds, there are also some very good strikes.

Good enough that more than one of them vowed to keep the little club in their bag.

  • Video Humour: Ken Rogerson 'Everyone You Know Sucks At Golf'

One element that is basically a necessity for the vast majority of recreational golfers, is that you have to have a sense of humour. Golf is not only not fair, it provides countless opportunities for comedians, both professional and wannabes, to laugh at the situations and reactions we all witness and take part in over time on the golf course.

Professional comedian Ken Rogerson has a very funny take on the game and why 'we all suck at it'.

Neil Tappin with the UK's Golf Monthly takes a look at 8 weird things golfers do, from putting gloves in back pockets to plumb-bobbing and strange swing rehearsals. Take a look at this list and see how many you do. To 'non-golfers' many of these things look truly strange, but there is often a logic behind the weird things golfers do.

ed. note: We particularly like the presentation of numbers 6 and 5...(also, from our observation there appears to be a solid influence from Greg Norman in at least some of these 'idiosyncracies' that carry on.
